With over 50 years of experience in Aerospace manufacturing, Wada Aircraft Technology has existed for the majority of the development of the Japanese aerospace industry. ORGANISATION STRUCTURE

Aerospace manufacturing demands a high level of precision even in the simplest of parts. Accordingly, strict process control is one of the most important facets of our business. Wada Aircraft Technology has optimally structured our departments and staffing in order to achieve a streamlined workflow which eliminates overburden, inconsistency, and waste. We also work to maximize process control in each of our departments, and thus achieve a production system which maintains a high level of quality while continually improving efficiency. The range of processes covered by the different departments allow us at Wada Aircraft Technology to offer an integrated manufacturing solution, from initial design and engineering, through final production and finishing, to inspection and delivery. What’s more, native English language support is available for all stages of a project, guaranteeing that customers can enjoy the high quality that Japan is famous for without the hassle of language barriers.

General Affairs Department
In addition to being responsible for customer relations (telephone inquiries, face-to-face meetings, etc.) and accounting, this department is also in charge of asset management such as the purchase of new facilities and equipment. Another responsibility is eliminating workspace waste and creating a lean manufacturing environment for optimal safety and efficiency. The department also supports operation of the quality management system by handling quality records, storage management, and data acquisition.

Sales Department
Department responsibilities include inventory management and procurement, arrangements for external processing, and review of manufacturing processes. The Sales Department also handles project planning, overall work scheduling and delivery. The Sales Department strives to maintain detailed schedule control for each process and to ensure on-time delivery.

Design Department
The responsibilities of the Design Department can be divided into 3 main categories: 1) Creation of CNC processing data: Utilizing CAD/CAM to create CNC data for the operation of CNC machines. 2) Design: Designing molds, dies, jigs, and other tools, and 3) Security: Implementation and management of an advanced network security system to maintain information integrity.

Manufacturing Department
The Manufacturing Department is composed of the Machining Division and the Finishing Division. The Machining Division performs 3, 4, and 5-axis machining in accordance with programs and work data created by the Design Department. The Finishing Division polishes, assembles, and adjusts the machined parts. This department conducts thorough process inspection to ensure on-time delivery, process control, and quality.

Quality Assurance Department
In addition to performing incoming inspection, first article inspection, and final pass/fail inspection for products, the QA department implements various measures for maintaining a rigorous inspection system. QA regularly carries out in-house calibration of measuring instruments and production equipment, maintains inspection records for all products, and act as the primary arbiters for maintaining conformance to our Quality Management System. This department tirelessly works to ensure that our products and processes meet the quality standards that our customers expect.

Development Department
Based on the concept of avoiding overdependence on the skills of engineers and creating a system which produces identical quality and production time regardless of the user, this department is in charge of proposing process improvements, research and development, and system implementation. The department is currently developing a variety of systems, including an automatic design system which is used to create drawings and 3D CAD data simply by entering parameters, and internal development of a CNC program post which will eliminate the need for manual finishing by improving the surface roughness achieved by simultaneous 5-axis machining.
